Welcome to Busybee.ie
My name is Adrienn and I am a 8 year old busy bee. I love to read, because it is fun and I learn a lot from books. Also I can get away from my little sister and brother for a while
My parents were looking for book reviews written by kids, to find me more books I would love to read. Then I decided to write my own reviews of the books I read. I want to help others find great books to read. These are book reviews by children. (Well, just one child for now)
Other than book reviews, I have other hobbies too. I will share my arts, craft and baking experiments, and many other things.
Hope you'll have a great time here.
On Wednesday the 9th of May, we went to Dublin to meet the Minister for Education. We went to the Clock Tower. My daddy studied Software Development in LCFE, and won a competition and he won a prize. He was in the local newspaper too. 😁Unfortunately Minister Richard Bruton had to cancel, but we met Minister Mary Mitchell O'Connor. She was very nice. I was in the picture with daddy and other very important people. We drove to the Red Cow (it is not actually a red cow, just the name of the hotel). We went on the LUAS, it was fun when it went really fast. It was a bit slow in the city center. We got there early and I had a chocolate muffin with a flake. Then we walked to the Clock Tower. We saw the spire, it is like the giants needle. I got to chat to the ladies, they all said I look very pretty in my dress.
Saturday was busy with the Operation Transformation walk and the birthday party. On Sunday, we went to the Bruff Envirofest to my school, Scoil Dean Cussen in Bruff.
The event was held in the school hall in the afternoon. We got there at 2 O'Clock, when it started. It was quite at first, we had the chance to look around quickly and wach a lady make jarn out of wool. It was very interesting. Must have been slow and hard work to make clothes in the olden days.
Last Saturday my family and I among another 1000 people, took part in the Operation Transformation walk by the Honeyfitz theatre. It was great to see so many people turn up to support a local lady, Jean Tierney in her transformation efforts. There where lot of cameras around, I might be in the next episode on TV 🤗
Last week, we got some aubergine and mushrooms when we did our weekly shopping. I don't know what was dad thinking, we hardly ever buy aubergine, because the bitterness. He avoided preparing it all week, but by the weekend, we had to do something with it. Of course we didn't want to throw it in the compost. It would be just wasting food and money.Write comment (2 Comments)
