What is a Bee?

Bees are small, flying insects that are very important for our planet. They come in different colours, such as yellow and black, and have fuzzy little bodies. You’ve probably seen them buzzing around flowers. But did you know that bees love flowers because they collect something called nectar and pollen from them? They take the nectar back to their homes, called hives, and turn it into delicious honey!

Bees are also incredibly important because they help plants grow fruits and vegetables. When they fly from flower to flower, they carry pollen on their legs, which helps new plants grow. Even though bees might seem scary because they can sting, they’re usually busy with their own work and won’t bother you unless they feel threatened. So remember, bees are our friends—they help make food and give us honey!
